JWT announces its partner and beneficiary for 2010

As part of our commitment to support wildlife protection and conservation, the Trustees have decided to offer a pledge of support for other organisations who share our aims.

Mark Oliver, founding trustee says, 'There are many charitable organisations worldwide who set out to improve the world we all share and help people and animals in desperate situations in all four corners of our planet. There are many thousands of people who dedicate their lives to protecting the wildlife we all admire but sometimes take for granted and we commend any organisation with these principles and any individual who supports such activities'.

The Trustees have decided to nominate a charitable organisation each year, to whom we will donate 10% of all the money raised from our fundraising efforts, including our major event - Walk 2 Live and from sponsorship through our land adoption scheme at our conservancy in Kenya.

The Trust has chosen the 'Born Free Foundation' as it's beneficiary for 2010. The Born Free Foundation is a dynamic international wildlife charity, devoted to compassionate conservation and animal welfare.  Born Free takes action worldwide to protect threatened species and stop individual animal suffering. Born Free believes wildlife belongs in the wild and works to phase out zoos. They rescue animals from lives of misery in tiny cages and give them lifetime care.

Mark continues, 'We are delighted to be able to support the efforts of the Born Free Foundation and look forward to being able to donate a sizeable amount of money at the end of 2010, which we hope will help save and protect some of the most vulnerable and awe-inspiring animals on our planet. Having seen at first hand, the lengths that Born Free goes to, to secure the safety and freedom of our wildlife, I cannot praise highly enough the work that they do.'
